American Leak Detection Franchise Owners Converge on Coachella Valley for Spring Conference & Awards

Palm Springs-based Company Hosts National Meeting of Leak Detection Experts

Palm Springs, California (April 9, 2010) - American Leak Detection (ALD), the world leader in accurate, non-destructive detection of all types of leaks, honored its top performing franchise owners at the company’s annual conference and awards reception, held March 24-27th at the Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells.

“I am so impressed with our franchisees’ quality work and the professionalism they exemplify,” says Stan Berenbaum, President and CEO of American Leak Detection, who operates ALD’s headquarters in Palm Springs. “Last year, when the economy really got tight here in the Coachella Valley, we had one of our regional teams show a nearly 23% growth in business. ALD named Phil and Robin Meckley as Entrepreneur(s) of the Year. The Meckleys own seven ALD franchises located in Riverside City, Pomona, South Bay, Orange City, San Diego, Honolulu and Houston. Other award highlights included Keith and Lori Bailey (Nashville, TN) who were named Franchisee(s) of the Year.

In all, 50 awards were presented at the conference, where 97 team members from 120 offices worldwide were in attendance. Seminar topics included concrete slab moisture, maximizing local public relations exposure, website optimization and employing better customer communication skills.
